Adrienne recently joined Juro as Team Assistant. Previously with Prospect Capital Management, Adrienne will be working closely with the whole Juro team.
Hey Adrienne, welcome to the team! Why did you decide to join Juro?
Hi! Thank you, very happy to be here. I had just recently returned from interning in New York for a year and knew I didn’t want to work in the corporate world, rather a smaller company where I would have more responsibilities. This job came to me through Give A Grad A Go, and I knew immediately I wanted to apply.
What are you responsible for at Juro?
My role is completely brand new for Juro, so a variety of things! My main responsibilities at the moment include supporting the founders with diary management and travel, assisting with the onboarding process for new employees and invoicing our clients.
What got you interested in legal tech in the first place?
I really wanted to work in a growing market, where I could learn about a new industry that I hadn’t experienced before. Legal tech is one of those industries and I’m so excited to see where this journey takes us.
How and where did you sign your contract?
On my iPad, with my finger, in bed!
What is your top tip for working with a scaling start up?
You just have to get stuck in! There are no corporate process maps or training manuals to follow. I’m learning how to juggle the variety in my role.
What has been the best thing about working at Juro so far?
I think getting to know the team has been really fun! Learning about the industry and our clients has been really interesting too. It’s all completely new to me but really exciting at the same time. It’s great to be able to bring some of my previous office management experience into a completely new role.
If you were trapped on a desert island, which 3 items would you bring?
A hammock - so I could chill out in the shade.
A knife - it seems like a sensible thing to bring.
Sun cream - I’m really pale and need to be smart about these things!
